In her latest installation, Shirley Brown investigates what it really means to be human. Over 500 spherical concave mirrors cascade down the vestibule, overwhelming the viewer with an immense sense of self. By subverting the expectations of performance art, Brown emphasizes the individual experience of the viewer in contemplating the meaning of the work for themselves.
The opening reception will be held on June 4, 2022, from 12:30-4pm. Brown’s installation will be on display from June 1, 2022 through December 15, 2022.
